Off to the Crucible in Sheffield, England and the snooker World championships. China's Ding Junhui had the advantage over Judd Trump in their best of 25-match, leading 10-6 going into the final session. And if the Chinese could hold on, he would book his spot into the last and also exact revenge on the Juddernaut, who knocked him out of last year's tournament.

The 29-year-old makes a break of 65 before missing a red. Trump then punishes his opponent with a 70 to steal the frame and cuts the deficit to three frames.

But the Bristolian makes a similar mistake in the next, only to see Ding take over the frame and clear with a run of 72. The Chinese, who had never gotten past the semi-finals at Crucible, then makes a break of 91 to go 12-7 ahead.

But Trump fights back with breaks of 61 and 56 to make it 12-9, and Ding would falter on the red to the corner in the next. That would cost Ding the frame with Trump firing an 88. It's 12-10. Trump has threatened to hit back even if Ding is just one frame from the victory.

The 23rd frame proves to be a scrappy contest. Ding misses a routine pink, handing Trump the chance to pull one more back. 

After exchanging numerous hands on the yellow, the match sees Trump suffer a crucial mistake at making a snooker. The favorite has to face the reality of being eliminated.

Ding pots the simple yellow and closes out the match 13-10 to march on to the quarter-finals. The world number 17 will play Mark Williams for a spot in the last four.
