Pakistan's top diplomat Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has arrived in New Delhi to attend the sixth 'Heart of Asia' conference.

The event is aimed at cementing regional ties and eliminating poverty and extremism in the region. It is also intended to expanding cooperation between Afghanistan and regional partners in countering militancy.

The dialogue mechanism has focused on devising a sustained, incremental approach to implementing confidence-building measures in Afghanistan.

China is also among the participating countries. Supporting countries include the US and other major western powers.
