Tottenham needed a win at home to West Brom in the English Premier League, to keep up the pressure on leaders Leicester, who went 8 points clear after beating Swansea on Sunday. Mauricio Pochettino's side entered the contest knowing anything other than a victory would give the Foxes the chance to clinch the title as early as Sunday. 

Spurs dominate the first half and take the lead on 33 minutes when West Brom defender Craig Dawson deflects into his own net. Jan Vertongaan takes the plaudits as the man who made the cross and the home side go into the break with a 1 nil lead. 

After the re-start Harry Kane's shot is deflected onto the post by visiting keeper Boaz Myhill who was in fine form to keep his team in the match.

and Tottenham would fail to make their possession count and with 73 on the clock Dawson heads in at the right end to makes things all square at 1 all.
