The beginning of flower season is almost here in Holland. Acres of tulips and other flowers color the broad flat fields across the country. With flower season, comes Holland's famous flower parade, one of the world's largest.

This may be the most beautiful traffic jam in the world.

The annual flower parade in Holland is a memorable experience for flower lovers who come from all over the world to see it.

This is the 69th flower parade in Holland, featuring 17 enormous floats and 30 cars richly decorated with flowers. They drive a 25 mile route from Noordwijk to Haarlem. The parade draws one million tourists every year.

"It's a very interesting and beautiful view. It's spectacular." a tourist said.

"I'm from Yemen. I come here every year and I like it." a tourist said.

"It's magnificent. I've never seen such a thing." a tourist said.

One big float like this requires 10 to 20 people working two days around the clock, with around 400,000 flowers. Susanne is a volunteer here at the float making site. Every year, she comes to give a hand, with patience and love.

"It's nice to make something with each other... the whole world is coming to see it." Susanne, float maker said.

"Every year, it's very happy in our town...proud to make it." Godelieve, float maker said.

Among the giant floats, there is one with the theme of the Silk Road. A typical Chinese ceramic tea set and Money King give it an authentic Chinese look.

"The theme of this year is about flower and fashion...this is why they did this one." Joan Stam, float designer said.

The flower float was created to express the Dutch people's love of peace and hate for war after World War II. But today, it has become a spring-time symbol of the country, bringing loads of tourists to this sea of flowers.
