A chemical warehouse has blown up in Jingjiang city in eastern China's Jiangsu Province. So far, there have been no reports of injuries.
A witness said the fire erupted around 9 AM at the storage site, which led to the explosion. In this video clip, dark clouds of smoke, with the fire still burning, are seen rising from storage tanks.
Rescuers and fire engines were immediately dispatched. But witnesses said a suffocating smell forced rescuers to retreat. As of 1 PM, the local authority said that the blaze was under control, but could not be put out until midnight. An investigation is underway.
