Full coverage: Paris Climate Agreement

Now let's bring in our studio guest for more discussion. Mr. Zou Ji is Deputy Director General for the National Climate Change Strategy Research and International Cooperation Center at the National Development and Reform Commission. Welcome.

Q1. What do you think of the climate agreement? How significant is the signing of such an agreement?

Q2. China is playing an increasing role in tackling climate change. The country has pledged to cut its carbon emissions per unit of GDP by 60-65 percent by 2030 from 2005 levels. It is also pledging to increase non-fossil fuel sources in primary energy consumption to about 20 percent and peak its carbon emissions by the same date. How do you evaluate China's efforts? What challenges lie ahead?
