Turkish media reports a Syrian journalist was shot dead in southern Turkey on Sunday.
36 year old Mohammed Zahir al-Sherkat was seriously injured after being shot by an unidentified masked attacker in Gaziantep province close to the Syrian border.
He later died in hospital.Similar incidents occurred also in the same province in December last year.
Naji Jerf, a Syrian activist who produced documentaries against the Islamic State, was shot dead with a silenced pistol.
The Syrian journalist was known for his opposition to both President Bashar al-Assad and ISIL.
In October, the jihadist group claimed responsibility for killing other two journalists in a house in southern Turkey.
