The LA Clippers have already sewn up the fourth seed in the Western Conference for the upcoming playoffs. Now they are trying to get their stars healthy. With that in mind, coach Doc Rivers would rest four starters for their trip to Salt Lake city to face the Utah Jazzhands, who are locked in a three-way dogfight for the West's last two spots in the postseason, and the visitors would need to lean heavily on two-time Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford.

I have just been told it is the Jazz, not the Jazzhands -- i thought they were on off-broadway dance troupe.

Paul Pierce drives in for the fallaway, pushing LA's early advantage to five -- he would get extra minutes with Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, and JJ Redick all getting the night off for the Clips

The hosts would roar back, and take control in the second quarter. Gordon Hayward drills three of his team-high 24. That puts Utah in front by seven.

Pablo Priogioni finds Pierce wide open after half-time. The Truth sinks the trey to give the Clippers the lead. The 18-year veteran would finish with 18 points.

But the Jazz re-assert themselves, as Prigioni coughs up the rock. Joe Ingles with the steal and the slam. Five points and three swipes for the big man from Australia.

Final 10 seconds of the fourth q. Pierce finds Cole Aldrich, who misses his first shot but grabs the rebound and converts the putback. This game is headed to overtime.

In the extra session, Alec Burks thinks about driving inside, but decides to pull up for three, and the Jazz take the lead.

Less than six seconds left in the bonus period. Nobody open for Crawford, so he launches a three and hits nothing but net. 30  for Jamal, his final bucket putting LA up three, with two-tenths of a second left.

One last chance for Utah. Rodney Hood -- no good. The Clippers win their fourth straight game. Back to back losses for the Jazz.

Elsewhere, Denver handed San Antonio their second straight loss. Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points as Dallas defeated Memphis. Toronto kept Indiana from clinching the eighth seed in the East. Orlando beat Miami for just the second time in their last 16 meetings. Charlotte topped Brooklyn. And Reggie Jackson scored 39 points as Detroit downed Washington, to clinch their first trip to the playoffs in seven years.

So looking at the race in the East, with the Pistons clinching, just one more playoff spot remains up for grabs. Indiana need one victory in their last three games, while Chicago have to win out, and hope the Pacers lose out.

And in the West, the top four teams are all locked into their spots. Portland and Memphis have clinched berths as well. Dallas and Utah are trying to hold off Houston. The Jazz and Rockets have each lost two in a row.
