President Xi Jinping held separate meetings with Czech Prime Minister and heads of the Parliament on bilateral ties and cooperation Tuesday.

In meeting with Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, Xi stressed the two countries should take the opportunity of the “Belt and Road” initiative to further synergize their development strategies.

Xi also expressed China’s willingness to advance connectivity and cooperation in areas like education, tourism, and sports with Central and Eastern Europe.

And during talks with Milan Stech, President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, as well as Jan Hamacek, chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Xi highlighted the exchanges and dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
