Bakiyev says not to return to Bishkek for talks with interim gov't as his safety not guaranteed

BISHKEK, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said Tuesday that he would not return to the capital city for negotiations with the opposition-formed interim government since it could not guarantee his safety.

Bakiyev was speaking to the press in southern Kyrgyzstan, local media reported.
