BISHKEK, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz opposition leader Ismail Isakov, a former defense minister, told reporters here Thursday that all senior officials of the government of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev are banned from leaving the country by the opposition-formed interim government.

Isakov also said that the new government has won the support of the military and the interior ministry.

Bakiyev has fled to the southern Kyrgyz city of Osh after his offices in Bishkek were overrun by opposition protesters Wednesday night. But his whereabouts remains unknown.
