KABUL, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- A soldier of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed in Afghanistan on Sunday, bringing the number of alliance troops fatalities to two since Saturday, a press release of the alliance said Monday.
"An ISAF service member was killed yesterday in an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) strike in southern Afghanistan, "it added.
However, the press release did not reveal the nationality of the victim and the exact place of the incident.
This is the second fatalities of foreign forces in the militancy-ridden country since Saturday. An ISAF soldier was killed in an IED (Improvised Explosive Devise) strike in southern Afghanistan on Saturday, according to a press release of the alliance.
