VIENNA, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- A tribute concert for the late pop king Michael Jackson in Vienna has been canceled, the concert organizer told a press conference Friday.

The concert, originally scheduled to be held in front of the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna on Sept. 26, will be moved to London's Wembley Stadium next June, said Georg Kindel, the concert organizer.
The decision to move the concert out of Vienna was announced at the end of a week of speculation and reports that artists including Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown weren't available for the performance.
The city government of Vienna, which believed the concert could greatly boost tourism in the city, had pledged 600,000 euros (864,000 U.S. dollars) to the concert.
However, Vienna's Vice-Mayor Renate Brauner said on Friday the city would offer zero funds to the concert.
