SEOUL, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Lee Myung-bakwill not meet delegation from Pyongyang on Saturday, an official at the presidential office of Chongwadae said, according to a YTN report.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak's meeting with delegation from Pyongyang is difficult to be expected within the day, a high-ranking official told Yonhap on Saturday.

Nothing has been set for the schedule of the delegation, the official, with his name unknown, told Yonhap over the telephone.

During his meeting with South Korean Unification Minister Hyun In-taek, DPRK's senior official Kim Yang-gon expressed wish to meet with President Lee.

The delegate, arriving in Seoul for paying respect to late former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung in Friday afternoon, was scheduled to depart in 2:00 p.m. (0500 GMT) on Saturday.

Reports citing sources at the presidential office said that the delegation extended their stay in Seoul to Sunday. However, the official told Yonhap "it remains not decided".
