LAGOS, July 10 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, Friday on his first visit to sub-Saharan Africa since taking office, according to reports from agencies.
Obama arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Friday night for a two-day visit. Ghanaian President John Evans Atta Mills welcomed him and his family at the airport.
The itinerary for the Obama's visit begins on July 11, with a special welcoming ceremony and he would hold closed-door bilateral talks with President Mills.
