Given the chance to go into this field, Ma Heyao gradually found herself becoming interested in it. As more and more companies sought her out, she found herself falling in love with advertising modeling, and decided to make it her career.
在最初做演員的日子裏，馬赫遙的戲並不是很多，人物的性格也都比較簡單。但是她努力抓住每一次機會，並且不斷嘗試和體驗更加複雜的人物性格。
When she first began acting, Ma Heyao had very few scenes in the drama, and the roles she played were quite simple. But she took advantage of every opportunity, and continually attempted to portray more complex characters and roles.
經過不斷地努力和摸索，馬赫遙的演技逐漸得到了大家的認同，她的角色也越來越豐富。她説每一次飾演一個新的角色，都會讓自己經歷一次不同的人生。
With hard work and effort, Ma Heyao’s acting skills were gradually recognized by the industry, and her roles became more and more colorful. She says each time she plays a new role, she experiences a different life.
每個演員都希望拿到更好的劇本，能夠和更多知名的演員合作，幸運的是，步入演藝行業不久的馬赫遙正好有了一次這樣的機會。馬赫遙剛剛完成《京華煙雲》的拍攝，她期待著這部片子很快能與大家見面。

《京華煙雲》是林語堂先生最著名的作品之一，在如此龐大的劇組裏工作，對馬赫遙來説的確是非常難忘的一次經歷。正是由於這次拍攝，才讓她對林語堂這位優秀文人和他的文學作品有了進一步的了解。

Ma Heyao has been interested in literature since she was a little girl, and immersed herself in literary classics.
和很多女孩子一樣，馬赫遙從小就有一個日記本，裏面寫滿了自己的心情和故事。不論是生命中的幸福時刻，還是悲傷的痛苦經歷，這本日記都伴隨她不斷成長，也正是這本日記，讓馬赫遙開始了自己的文學創作歷程。
Like many other girls, Ma Heyao kept a diary when she was a child, and she often wrote down her own stories. Whether it was happy moments or bad experiences, the diary was her constant companion as she grew up. It was this diary that enabled Ma Heyao to begin writing.
出於對文學的熱愛，馬赫遙考入了中央戲劇學院表演係。她説表演是出於自我對文字的一種理解，而文學創作卻更能激發一個人的創造性，在故事情節上，她可以更加自如地發揮自己的想像力。
It was this love of literature that led Ma Heyao to enroll in the acting department of the Central Academy of Drama. She says acting is a kind of personal understanding and interpretation of literature, whereas writing can inspire one’s creativity. In the plot of the story, she can more freely give play to her imagination.
馬赫遙説自己是一個愛靜的人，閒暇時，她總喜歡靜下心來思考。空閒的時候，她喜歡一個人彈奏古箏，從指間流淌出來的悅耳琴聲能讓她從嘈雜的生活中脫離出來，享受一下難得的清靜。
Ma Heyao says she is a person who likes tranquility. In her spare time, she likes to think quietly on her own. When not working, she enjoys playing the guzheng by herself. The pleasing music flowing from her fingers allows her to escape from the noise and distraction of daily life. At such moments, she can find the peace she seeks.
馬赫遙喜歡旅行，因為在旅途中能見到很多不同的人，經歷不同的事，在她看來，這世界很大，每一個地方都充滿了驚喜。
Ma Heyao loves to travel, because she can meet different people and have different experiences. There is a big world out there, says Ma Heyao, and there are wonderful surprises everywhere.
馬赫遙是一個積極、樂觀的女孩子，她用自己的笑容溫暖著周圍的每一個人；
