Website sina.com.cn reported that the production helps deliver the Olympic spirit and brings culture to children with five stories which describe the growing experiences of the Fuwa.
Without much dialogue, the drama catches the attention of young audiences with its various artistic elements like acrobatics, dancing and music.
Advanced stage techniques are used in the performance. 3D Animation Techniques are also applied to this stage play.
The drama features interactive designs. The audience sang the classical children's song "Searching for Friends" several times with the performers to encourage the characters and push the storyline along.
The story is set in an ancient time and depicts how a fateful child found Fuwa friends to beat monsters and bring peace to the world. The drama was exclusively authorized for the Beijing Children's Arts Theatre by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
Since its premiere in 2006, the drama has been performed nearly 660 times. The new season will last until August 24, with the last performance being staged for charity.
