Edmund Chua: Singapore Roars

    Tourism used to be all about exotic locations bringing in megabucks. But the outbreak of SARS cast a long shadow over the industry, especially for countries that are heavily focused on tourism such as Singapore.

    In our BizChina interview, we met with Mr. Edmund Chua, China's regional director of Singapore's tourism authority, who tells us how Singapore dealt with the issue. He also highlights the new marketing campaign called "Singapore Roars" and how Singapore will attract more Chinese travelers to the city state amid increasingly fiercer competition with other Southeastern Asian countries and regions.
