Preserving Bio-diversity 


Although there is no direct evidence so far that the SARS virus is originated from wild life, many point fingers on some kind of animals, such as masked palm civet. But the good news is that the government is banning the killing and eating some wild animals. As the country covers from the SARS, people began to reflect on the relationship between man and wild life. In a joint statement 22 scientists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences call for the stressing of wild life protection, perfecting laws and regulations on bio-diversity and establishing healthy eating habit. In this good news, for the preservation of China’s fragile bio-diversity, join us now in the studio are Professor Liang Congjie, president of Friends of Nature, and Jackson T.
