For me, it is dispicable that china is being portrayed in such a bad light. Remember, china has so much to offer the world and its Excellent human rights record should be applauded. Everyone, if you do as you're told, we will all be happy. These tibetans that want freedom should be grateful for what they have. I think freedom is over-rated Because as a peace-loving nation, china and wants to Embrace all in to the motherland and smother it with opportunity. Thank you.

One shouldn't underestimate the power of the digital and electronic media cleverly manipulated to spread all sorts of lies across the globe to win sympathy for the perpetrators. The Chinese should likewise learn fast to counter such strategies with skills and logic out to sabotage them. The CIA knows the Han Chinese aren't opium pushers. Tibet isn't Nanjing, Iraq, Afghanistan or Sobibor. Chinese Tibetans are neither the Red Indians nor Aussie bushmen. Arson, murder and looting cannot be tolerated anywhere on the planet. These culprits should therefore be punished and locked away for good. In fact, in 1992 the US sent thousands of fully armed soldiers to crush the blacks in Los Angeles riots. And the then President, Bush senior, was quoted as saying, "There can be no excuse for the murder, arson, theft or vandalism that have terrorised the people of Los Angeles . . . I will use whatever force is necessary to restore order." China should also learn to echo such pronouncements. Robert Lim

Instead of being irritable ,inclusiveness is what China needs if we really tend to show the world what we really are. Western medias, please !! To try to explore and know more about the nation you are going to slam by doing a little bit history-learning ,a prerequisite of having a say to somthing!!!!!! Without mutual-understanding ,the real communication will never be reached by us!!!!

I agree 100% with what Jim Tiffany wrote. I wonder why they are so irresponsible and the people in the West and US are so gullible to their lies. Now I start to wonder.....how much lies these media had protrayed about the weak and poor countries like Vietnam, Afganistan, Iraq and so on to justify thier invasion of these countries by US and its Aliies. How much lies they had protrayed about Al Qaeda & the Taliban to justify invasions and caused loss of thousands and thousands of innocent lives.

After watching the news with this kind of photos, I already have an impresion in my heart that they are untruthful or faked pictures. The western countries are jealous, biased, prejudiced and trying to sabotage China with modified photos taken years ago. Chinese people are not dumb!

As a 4th generation Canadian I am very embarrassed and ashamed by our so-called news reporting service here. This event has forever damaged the credibility of western media and should not be taken as word anymore, probably never should have. My hope is that westerners (who are no doubt unjustifiably biased towards China), will see a lot of Beijing and other parts of China during Olympic coverage and maybe realize that China is not at all what they were told. I also hope that Chinese people do not think that all Canadians are so ignorant and condescending. I'm doing my personal best to educate people here and break down their bias!
