 The Shanghai Expo 2010 Committee members were overjoyed at hearing the good news in Monte Carlo. At the same time, overseas Chinese worldwide celebrated Shanghai's success in various ways. They expressed their confidence and belief that Shanghai will present a magnificent exposition to the world.
The Monte Carlo presentation site erupted in an overwhelmingly happy atmosphere when the president of the BIE declared that Shanghai had won its bid. The delegation burst into laughter and tears, cheering for their success. At the same time elsewhere in the world, overseas Chinese in the UK and Belgium focused on the live broadcast. "The success shows the world's recognition to our motherland. China's international status and national strength has been raised, which makes everyone of us proud and encouraged," said Sun Dali, consul of Chinese Embassy in UK.
 Meanwhile in Brussels, overseas Chinese students cheered for the success. They expressed their determination to come back to China and make contributions to an even brighter future for their motherland.
