Sheng Huaren was elected one of the 15 vice－chairpersons and concurrently secretary－general of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress （NPC）, China's top legislature, Saturday morning at the on－going NPC annual session.
The other 14 vice－chairpersons are Wang Zhaoguo, Li Tieying, Ismail Amet, He Luli （female）, Ding Shisun, Cheng Siwei, Xu Jialu, Jiang Zhenghua, Gu Xiulian （female）, Raidi, Lu Yongxiang, Uyunqimg （female）, Han Qide, Fu Tieshan.
Wu Bangguo was elected chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
