| HK overseas Chinese mark 5th anniversary of HKSAR |

A celebration attended by Hong Kong overseas Chinese was held in Hong Kong Sunday to mark the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR).
Organized by the Committee of Hong Kong Overseas Chinese Celebrating Hong Kong's Return to the Motherland which comprises 60 associations, the celebration attracted hundreds of Hong Kong overseas Chinese.
Among them were senior officials from the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the HKSAR, the National People's Congress Standing Committee, and the HKSAR's Executive Council.
Speaking at the celebration, Ku Suen-fai, chairman of the Hong Kong Overseas Chinese General Association, said the "one country, two systems" principle was proved successful in Hong Kong in the past five years and that overseas Chinese in Hong Kong would continuously support the principle and contribute to Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.
