A high-ranking forum featuring the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the economy of China will be convened in Guangzou during the forthcoming 90th China Export Commodities Fair.
Organizing Committee sources say speakers invited to address the forum include China's Chief Negotiator Long Yongtu, next WTO Director General Supachai Panitchpakdi, and Chinese economist Wu Jinglian.
Preparations for the autumn fair, which will be held on October 15-26 in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, are on target.
More than 300,000 businessmen are expected to attend and a high level symposium on the application of international e-business will be held.
The China Export Commodities Fair, a biannual event, began in the spring of 1957. Since then more than 2.4 million businessmen have attended the fairs and export business deals worth 310 billion U.S. dollars have been struck.
