Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji said in Beijing Wednesday that China will honor its commitments to open its market wider to the outside world, both sector-wise and geographical-wise, once inside the World Trade Organization.
He said in an address to the on-going Sixth World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention that China will more vigorously promote an all-directional, mutil-level and broad-sector opening-up pattern.
"We will open our service sector step by step, including banking ,insurance, telecommunications, trade and tourism, and explore new forms and channels to use foreign funds," he said.
He said that China will closely combine its efforts to attract foreign funds with those to readjust industrial structure, develop China's west and deepen the reform of state-owned enterprises, and particularly import more advanced technologies, modern managerial expertise and specialized professionals.
