China Will Fulfill WTO Commitments |

China has accelerated preparations in various areas for its WTO entry, to make sure its WTO commitments will be completely fulfilled. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Zhu Bangzao made the remarks Tuesday afternoon in Beijing.
Zhu Bangzao said that as the15 year effort to join the world trade body has come to an end, preparation work has been accelerated for the final entry.
Mr. Zhu said: "After the WTO entry, China will adhere to WTO principles and further improve its socialist market economy. China will also follow the principles of mutual market opening, in order to strengthen economic and technological cooperation with WTO member nations, including developing countries."
He said that China's entry will greatly promote the nation's modernization drive and its capacity to participate in and cope with economic globalization.
Regarding to the planned US retaliation to the terrorist attacks, the spokesperson said that China is against any form of terrorism. However, he said that the anti-terrorist movement must have clear targets in order to spare innocent lives. He added that all moves must be taken under the guidelines of the UN Charter and other relevant international conventions.
