| Guangzhou International Tourism fair kicks off |

Guangzhou is still holding its international tourism commodities fair, despite fears of the deadly SARS that broke out in China in February. People from more than 50 countries and regions went to the fair.
The tourism fair is the 11th of its kind. Tourist agencies from Britain, Germany, and South Korea were among nations represented. The organizers claim numbers were 30 percent up over last year.
The fair is aimed at demonstrating both domestic and overseas images of tourism and introducing associated products. Meanwhile, the Guangzhou Commodities Fair will be held on April 15 as planned.
