| Health Ministry: 80 new SARS cases, 10 deaths |

In the 24 hours ending 10 am Tuesday, 80 new SARS cases have been confirmed on the Chinese mainland. 57 of these come from suspected cases. 72 people have recovered and have been discharged from hospital. There have been 10 new deaths.
According to the Ministry, the cumulative number of SARS cases on the Chinese mainland has risen to 5,086. Of these, 3,059 are receiving treatment at hospitals.
To date, a total of 1,765 SARS patients have recovered and been discharged, while 262 have died.
In Beijing, 48 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours, 34 from suspected cases. 41 people in Beijing recovered and were discharged from hospital, and 5 died.
