| Chinese mainland reports 187 new SARS cases |

The Chinese mainland reported 187 new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases and 11 new deaths between 10:00 a.m. of April 30 and 10:00 a.m. of May 1, according to the Ministry of Health Thursday.
The cumulative SARS cases on the Chinese mainland rose to 3,638and 170 had died as of 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, said the ministry.
