| China sad over ILO official's death |

A senior Chinese health official said here Sunday that China feels deeply sorrowful over the death of Pekka Aro, an official with the International Labor Organization, caused by the SARS.
Liu Peilong, director of the department of international cooperation with the Ministry of Health, told a press conference that Pekka Aro died of severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS） in Beijing early Sunday.
Aro was director of the ILO in Focus Program on Skills, Knowledge and Employability, according to the official website of the ILO.
Aro left Geneva on March 17 and stayed in Bangkok of Thailand between March 18 and 23. He arrived in Beijing on March 23 for the preparatory work of a forum on employment.
