Hillary Clinton visits India, aiming to improve ties

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is visiting India, aiming to improve ties between the two countries. Clinton met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi to discuss forging a more productive partnership.

During the visit, Clinton is also expected to sign an agreement enabling US companies to sell nuclear reactors to India, and possibly another agreement on defense sales. Before the meeting, Clinton spoke to students at Delhi University.

She said there would be a more comprehensive approach to bilateral relations, including talks on energy security, agriculture reforms, education and counter-terrorism.
