Singh says the infrastructure of terrorism must be dismantled because they do not represent what he called "cause, group or religion".

Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani said his country has been engaged in a committed national effort to eliminate terrorism and militancy within its borders.

India has blamed Pakistan-trained militants for last year's Mumbai attacks, and accused Pakistan of dragging its feet in punishing the suspects.

Pakistan has announced the trial of five men accused in the attacks will likely start next week. The two leaders are expected to meet on the sidelines of the summit on Thursday.
