The United States has reiterated its call to the DPRK not to "aggravate tensions", hours after the country fired its seventh missile on Saturday. South Korea has also expressed displeasure, calling the missile-launch a provocative action which violates UN Security Council resolutions.
Meanwhile, the Japanese government has lodged a formal protest through diplomatic channels in Beijing. Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso is expected to urge fellow leaders at the Group of Eight Summit to continue coordinating their response to the DPRK's nuclear and missile programs. The summit opens this Wednesday in Italy.
