Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was speaking during a state television broadcast. He told judiciary officials that Washington's stance on post-election turmoil in Iran could undermine Barack Obama's goal of improving relations between the two countries.
Ahmadinejad also used former US President George W. Bush as an example of how not to conduct relations with other countries.
Meanwhile, Obama has also been strongly criticized, both at home and abroad, for his initially measured response to possible fraud leading to the re-election of Ahmadinejad and to the harsh crackdown on protesters. But on Friday, he hailed the demonstrators in Iran and condemned the violence against them.
