United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, says he is closely watching the situation in Iran following the presidential election.
And in the United States, President Barack Obama said the Iranian people have a right to believe their votes matter.
He added that Washington remains committed to a tough and direct dialogue with Iran.
Ban Ki-Moon, United Nations Secretary-General, said, "When there is an election, the genuine will of the people should be reflected and respected in the most transparent and fair and objective manner "
Barack Obama, US President, said, "I would say to those people who put so much hope and energy and optimism into the political process, I would say to them the world is watching and inspired by their participation, regardless of what the ultimate outcome of the election was."
