There are numerous ways to experience Xinjiang, chasing the musical notes of Mr. Wang opens up a whole new dimension for me to say the least. What makes the land inspire such energy in its music? The sound of wind, the color of sand, the smile of a girl, or - wait, dear friends, why don't you join us on the road for the next half hour and find out your own perfect answer?
Meaning "a passage to get through", our destination No. 1 - Daban town is situated about 90 kilometers south of Urumqi, right in a valley on the east ridge of Tianshan Mountain.
It's not the only place named as such in Xinjiang, but it is the Daban town mentioned in Mr. Wang's song, hence a must stop for every Chinese traveler.
With this easy breeze, it's really hard to imagine that this is actually the most formidable wind zone in Xinjiang. And look around me, this is also the largest wind power plant in whole Asia!
