Jing Gangshan

In the local shops I found many souvenirs, daily accessories are made of bamboo. Red rice is still quite popular among tourists that you can find in most local shops for sale, however, most of the Jing Gang Shan residents are not so crazy about it.

On this trip to Jing Gang Shan, I have learned so much about Mao Zedong, and his theory. But left with a few questions as well: First of all, how long will Jing Gang Shan be memorized in the future, then, under such a difficult condition, did Mao and his army know back then that they would unite China.

From this path, Mao and few leaders of Red Army used to carry their own food to the station. It looks easy trust me, it is not as easy as what you see.

Today, Jing Gang Shan is a happy land, as many of us wonder if the new generation still cares about the past, or the elders just want to forget about the painful tragedy and move on to a brand new page in life. Everything in this memorable land become tremendous peaceful and mellow.

There is another must-visit site is the Jing Gang Shan Theater, which is be positioned right next to the Jing Gang Shan hotel. The local professional artists present the history with a quite modern format of dance and music as a two-hour show, I had a very interesting chat with the director who happened to be the heir of a Red Army soldier.

Mr. Zhang is a native Jing Gang Shan who has so many stories of the past. He told me that his father was one of the few survivors in the village after the long march, his family is very proud of being a family of Red Army. They are also adored the theme song of Red Rice, Mr. Zhang was anxious to sing it loud to our crew.

There is a theme song about the Red rice. Back then the Red Army use to eat red rice, have mellow soup and pumpkin cake as regular meals. Nowadays, it is quite popular in the restaurants for serving tourists.

After Mr. Zhang completed his education in arts, he came back to the homeland and composed the program with music and dance to call back the history. Mr. Zhang added at the end, there is a particular dance program that Mao Ze Dong enjoyed the most when he came back to Jiangxi in 1960鈥檚. Mao even asked the dance team to go to Beijing performing to larger audience.

Every tourist can come here to enjoy the beautiful dance and singing. It represents the red army in a beautiful art form. I believe the history means so much to the native Jing Gang Shan people, especially to the families who lost members during the war.

Anyone who visits Jing Gang Shan should not miss the historical sites. It is an incredible experience of tasting the red rice, try on the Red Army uniform, pay a visit to Mao Ze Dong's resident and see the historical sites of revolutionary. Imaging this, just from this unique location, Mao Zedong along with a group of 700 people failed from an uprising, then recovered and within about 20 years, they united a great country - China . The Long March only lasted less than one year, but the Red Army followers have never stopped their steps going forward. Anyone who lives in China today will still be aware of the marching and the path just going faster and faster.
