Jing Gangshan

At that time almost every inch of this land has been bombed fired and humanly damaged that include three of Mao's residents. After Mao Ze Dong over came the various complicatedness, he united China in 1949. The Red Army compound, hospital and Mao Ze Dong's temporary residents have been rebuilt after the war. I came to pass a few of Mao鈥檚 residents and gained the following information:

Mo Zedong physically stayed in this house. From here the first Red Army was established and they designed the first flag in this room. Just cross the street over there, this mountain was named as the first mountain in China.

From the local museum, the information recorded as follows:

Mao Zedong was born on December 26, 1893 to peasant farmers in Shao Shan, of Hunan province. He turned to Marxism while attending Beijing University. In 1921, he attended the first congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and two years later, in 1923, he was elected to its central committee. After the death of Sun Yat-sen in 1925, Chiang Kaishek led the Kou Min Tang (KMT; Nationalist Party) and carried out massacres of the communists. Mao survived, and in 1934, he led the long march, consolidating his position as chairman of the party. In 1937, the CCP allied with the Kuo Min Tang to defeat the Japanese. After the KMT defeated Japan, a civil war ensued.

One of the Mao's significant residents in Jing Gang Shan is located at Mao Ping village. In October 1928, Mao came to see traditional medical specialist, Dr. Xie' for his injury, and he was suggested stay in this house called eight-corner mansion for recovering. Just in this rather simple bedroom, Mao Zedong completed two of his important books; they are titled and . Every piece of furniture displayed here today is the original one that reflected the plain lifestyle Mao had.

This room was name eight-corner house since the window on the roof was designed with eight corners. Mao Zedong lived here and wrote two of his significant books. The owner of this house was a Chinese herbal doctor who treated Mao while he lived here.

In many of Mao Zedong's books, he emphasized bamboo in various aspects. Bamboo product and red rice are a few remarkable memories that related to the Red Army and being presented to every visitor as souvenirs. Bamboo used to be the major tool, or a weapon in the past, and now is resource for many commercial industries.
