Jing Gangshan

The Hakkas in Jing Gang Shan helped Mao Zedong to realize his intention. Mao managed to win over the two crews of about 600 Hakka bandits in this area, led by Wang Zuo and Yuan Wen Cai.

Jing Gang Shan is a very hidden area that closing to the middle of part of the Lou Xiao Shan range in Hunan, being in the west of Jiangxi province. Around the Ci Ping town, there are more than 500 peaks in this region with the elevations from 360 to 1800 meters.

From 1927 to 1928 in just less than one year there were five major confrontations between the Red Army and Guomindang Party. Every time the battle was rough and difficult for both sides. Most of Jing Gang Shan's landscape is mountains. It rains every day in the summer. However, the rather complicated surrounding provide the opportunity for Red Army to defeat the enemy sufficiently under the leadership of Mao Ze Dong.

In just about two generations, which is 70 some years later, Jing Gang Shan recovered from its misfortunate past. The process is rather swift and seamless. The green forest and blue water dress up Jing Gang Shan like a well-reserved state park. Bamboo forest comes back again as one of the natural resource; waterfalls provide continuous energy to this land.
