Defending champion Novak Djokovic has reached the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, after beating Tommy Haas of Germany.

In other matches, American wild car John Isner upset struggling Marat Safin, and in the women's draw, top-seed Dinara Safina was too strong for American veteran Jill Craybas.
The first set between Djokovic and Tommy Haas was a straight forward affair with the Serbian dominating: With this volley, Djokovic went up 5-1. In the second set, Haas showed why he's ranked number two in the world as he pushed his opponent to a tiebreaker.
Djokovic held on to sweep the last seven points of the tiebreaker and won the match 6-2, 7-6.
