Obama: Confident in Iraqi security forces

US President Barack Obama has expressed his confidence in Iraqi security forces.

He says the pullback is an important step toward Iraq's sovereignty and the end of the war.

Barack Obama, US President, said, "Iraq's future is in the hands of its own people, and Iraq's leaders must now make some hard choices, necessary to resolve key political questions, to advance opportunity and to provide security for their towns and their cities. In this effort, America will be a strong partner to the Iraqi people on behalf of their security and prosperity. Make no mistake, there will be difficult days ahead. We know that the violence in Iraq will continue. But I'm confident that those forces will fail. The future belongs to those who build, not those who destroy."
