The US ambassador to the ROK said Washington's position remains unchanged, and that it will not accept the DPRK having nuclear weapons. She said the US and its allies have begun to outline plans to counter any possible provocation from the DPRK. 

A DPRK cargo ship, the Kang Nam, is currently being tracked by the US army under new UN Security Council sanctions. The vessel is suspected of carrying illicit weapons. But Pyongyang has said it is unlikely to allow any inspection of the ship's cargo. It says it would consider such a move an act of war.
