Israel's foreign minister has said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a landmark speech on Sunday endorsing a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict.

Meeting with European Union foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said his country was ready to negotiate with the Palestinians and the Syrians.

He also said Israel was willing to discuss how to solve the more than six-decade-old conflict and do so without preconditions. He also says he expects the 27-nation EU to encourage this dialogue.
