Is China Facing Grain Crisis?

Ten years ago, American environmental analyst Lester R. Brown wrote a book, Who Will Feed China? Earlier this year, he again pointed out the shrinking of China's cropland has contributed to the coming of grain crisis. However, some Chinese experts are confident about China's grain supply. They believe the market should be encouraged to control the grain production. Here, we have Ford Foundation Representative for China Andrew Watson to talk about the issue. Mr. Watson is also an editor of a book on China's grain market.
