Chinese Market for French Nuclear Power

Being the engine for the local, regional economic development is no easy job if you look at the energy shortage China suffered this summer. And obviously France knows this well and brings its advanced nuclear technology to this huge market. But the Daya Bay nuclear power plant caused strong protest in Hong Kong when it was first constructed. And the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in the Former Soviet Union delivers a bitter lesson to the Chinese as well.

Can the French guarantee the security while competing for the contracts on nuclear power generation in China? What is China's policy on the importance of nuclear power in a national grade?
