In the East China city of Ji'nan, the official mascot has been unveiled for the 19th China National Book Trade Fair.

unveiled for the 19th China National Book Trade Fair.

The golden calf will symbolize the fair over the months to come. The design was selected from more than two hundred short-listed entries. Ji'nan is the capital of Shandong province and the golden calf represents the literary tradition of both the province and the country's publishing industry.

Five paintings will also feature in the promotion. The fair will run from the April 25th to 29th.
