Chinese FM calls for dialogue on DPRK issue

During his meeting with foreign ministers of the East Asia summit, Yang Jiechi urged restraint concerning the situation in Northeast Asia. He said the situation on the Korea Peninsula is complicated and sensitive with increasing uncertainties. He called for efforts to resume the six-party talks to resolve the DPRK issue through dialogue.

At the ASEAN plus China meeting, Yang Jiechi said China wants to increase cooperation with ASEAN countries in various fields including trade, infrastructure and information-sharing.
