In Pakistan, 2 people were killed in a suicide attack on a police station in Islamabad on Saturday. The attack occurred just hours after 2 pro-Taliban clerics were killed in a shootout in the country's northwest.

Police said the bomber was trying to target a police building, but officers on site foiled his attempt. The attacker then blew himself up.

Pakistan has seen frequent attacks since the army launched multiple offensives to flush out Taliban militants from the northwestern Swat valley in late April.
