In recent times, China has passed two major milestones – the country has become a WTO member and Beijing has won the right to host the 2008 Olympic Games. China is playing a greater role in the international community and, as a result, English is becoming more important in the lives of Chinese.
This contest aims at helping people throughout the country have a better command of the language and, most importantly, speak better English.
