US Post-Cold War Foreign Policy

It has been a popular assumption that America has been looking for its new enemy following the end of the Cold War, especially after the disintegration of the former Soviet Union to maintain its global dominance as the sole super power. Today, Professor Pan Jianqiang, our regular commentator on world affairs and Professor Wang Jisi, director of the Institute of American Studies with the Academy of Social Sciences will join the discussion on the US foreign policy in the post-Cold War era. Professor Wang has made several trips to the United States this year alone and has brought back some ideas of American foreign policy after its war on Iraq particularly after the six-way talks on the nuclear issues.
